Updated Written Exam Arrangement for the 2024 S.-T. Yau College Student Mathematics Contest

The registration for the 15th S.-T. Yau College Student Mathematics Contest has concluded. This year, over 3,000 students from more than 500 universities have registered for the individual competition, and 43 teams have signed up for the team competition. Participants hail from 29 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across Mainland China, as well as regions such as Hong Kong, China.
The
semifinal written exam for this year's S.-T. Yau College Student Mathematics
Contest will be held on May 4th and 5th. The exam questions are designed by the
Contest’s Academic and Problem-Setting Committee, covering the following
subjects: Analysis and Differential Equations, Probability and Statistics,
Geometry and Topology, Applied and Computational Mathematics, Algebra, Number
Theory and Combinatorics, and Mathematical Physics. A total of 19 exam centers
have been arranged nationwide, with students assigned to the nearest location
based on their residence.

The team contest score is the sum of each team member’s individual exam results in the corresponding subjects.

contest schedule and exam center arrangements are subject to the final
